What horoscope would the character consult if they wanted to find out what was in store for them? This article explores the character of represented as the Twins.

The second article in this series explored the second air sign, Aquarius. The final air sign is Gemini. Here the characteristics will be explored in more detail to help writers understand their motivations, their aspirations and their good and bad points. Characters born under the Gemini sign will have their birthday somewhere between 21st May and the 20th June.

Gemini – Overview

Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac and is represented by the twins. Gemini is motivated by invisible thoughts and ideas associated with intuition, intellect and gut instincts. Air can be seen as the metaphor for these elements.

Gemini characters are therefore concerned with communication, particularly talking; they possess great wit and can be extremely persuasive when they want to. Characters born under the sign of the Twins are often adaptable, changeable and agreeable; they adjust their perspectives to try to create a harmonious atmosphere.

Some characters may harbour a deep longing to find their true soul mate, their twin who can make them feel more complete. However, most Gemini’s soon realise that this wholeness is something that they can only find within themselves.

Gemini – Physical and Behavioural Attributes

Gemini characters in general look tall and upright. Many characters will have the enviable ability of looking much more youthful than their years at all stages of their life. They are usually light on their feet regardless of their size but they are usually slim characters. They have long limbs and are very active in exercise.

Male characters will often have a pale, rough complexion, perhaps even a little weather beaten, but handsome. They usually have a high forehead and receding hairline and quick darting eyes. He could sell snow to the Eskimos such are his skill with persuasion and is adroit, diplomatic and sociable.

Female characters have very fine enchanting eyes and long fingered expressive hands. They enjoy lively conversation and can often be found at the centre of attention in a crowd. She will be a loyal friend and will never turn down a cry for help. She seeks true romance but often finds it hard to settle down. She is an eternal optimist, who has many interests and is always on the go.

Gemini’s will enjoy good health as long as they are given space and freedom, if not they tend to suffer from nervous exhaustion. Other ailments suffered by these characters include, coughs and colds, bronchitis, sore throats and chest complaints.

Gemini – Likes and Dislikes

All the star signs have some lucky elements assigned to their profile. Gemini characters will prefer the colour orange. The gemstones including tourmaline and garnet represent their sign and their metal is quicksilver. Their favourite animal is the magpie and they like orchids. Their favourite scent is lavender.

Most Gemini characters do not like people who complain and too much regimentation. They prefer to know what’s going on and dislike being defeated or being kept waiting. They like reading magazines, taking part in quizzes and doing crosswords. They are not shy at public speaking and are often very skilled in crafts. Gemini’s like to travel and enjoy variety and change. The often act as devils advocate but will always be there for friends in need.

Using the Zodiac to help develop characters can provide the writer with additional information, which shapes their behaviour and actions. The next article will start to look at those signs grouped under the element of Earth.
